The Social PR Co is overseen by one of Adelaide’s first and best regarded social media consultants, Sarah Thomas. As one of Adelaide’s only specialist social media consultancies, we have gained extensive experience over the last five years working with clients such as SA Government, SA Power Networks, Commonwealth Government of Australia and Wine Australia as well as several not-for-profit organisations and smaller businesses.
We work with clients to help them understand the opportunities social media offers while also protecting themselves against the risks it poses.
The Social PR Co provides expert advice on the use of social media in a business, government and community context. The Social PR Co team are social media specialists and we provide our clients with strategic advice on current and future trends in social media and have a proven track record of implementing practical social media solutions.
In addition to advising a wide range of government, corporate and not for profit clients on social media strategy development and implementation, our principal social media consultant, Sarah Thomas regularly speaks to government and business audiences about social media, its use, impact, opportunities and risks it presents. With more than 18 years corporate communication experience and several years working in the digital engagement space developing social media strategies for a variety of clients, Sarah is well placed to guide organisations through this new era.

Sarah Thomas, Principal
Sarah began her career in Corporate Affairs at Telstra in the 1990′s and has experience in corporate communications, traditional public relations, community engagement and reputation management in Australia and the UK. Sectors Sarah’s worked across include finance, retail, property, government, health, education, telecommunications, IT, lifestyle, food and wine, travel, fashion and interiors.
Her expertise covers all facets of traditional public relations including brand and reputation building and management – online and offline; profile building; community development and management; social media; publicity; media liaison; building and managing relationships with professional, government and non-government organisations; sponsorship and event management.
After spending many years working in the UK providing public relations consultancy to organisations such as Starbucks, American Express, The British Fashion Council, Travelex and Abbey National, Sarah returned to Adelaide where The Social PR Consultancy is based.
Sarah’s career has seen her involved in the first electronic local government elections in the UK with British Telecom; run the media office for London Fashion Week; be involved with Telstra’s rebranding from Telecom and assisting with its positioning during its partial privatisation; help launch Starbucks into Adelaide and assist Wine Australia to reposition Australian wines throughout the world.
Sarah is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and graduated as best marketing student with a Grad Dip in Marketing from Curtin University.
